How our home watch works
1. We learn the home
A complimentary walk-through where we document systems, shut-offs, quirks, vendors, and your preferences.
2. We set a schedule
Most homes are checked weekly, with added visits around storms, freezes, arrivals, and departures.
3. You get a report
After every visit you receive a written report with photos — and an immediate call if anything needs attention.
4. We handle what comes up
We coordinate cleaners, plows, landscapers, plumbers, and electricians, and stay on site for access and decisions.
Home watch questions
- What is home watch service?
- Home watch is a scheduled, in-person inspection of a property while the owner is away. At Home-KeepR we walk the interior and exterior, check systems for leaks or damage, confirm the home is secure, and send a written report with photos after every visit.
- How often do you check the home?
- Most clients choose weekly visits. We can move to more frequent checks during winter freezes, major storms, or extended absences, and we schedule extra visits around arrivals and departures.
- What areas do you cover for home watch?
- Ulster County and the greater Woodstock area in the Hudson Valley and the Catskills.
- What happens if you find a problem?
- We contact you right away with photos and a recommendation, then coordinate the right vendor — plumber, electrician, plow, or contractor — and stay on site for access and decisions when you can't be there.
- Is home watch the same as house sitting?
- No. Home watch is a recurring inspection and reporting service rather than someone living in the home. It gives you documented oversight of the property without a guest in your space.
